Lightweight design is a key technology for Germany and indispensable for achieving the strategic goals of the EU. These are set in the Green Deal, the Green Deal Industrial Plan and the Critical Raw Materials Act. Last year, the Advisory Board of the BMWK’s Lightweighting Initiative expressed the wish for a European event in Brussels to raise the political profile of lightweight construction at EU level.

We are now pleased to send you the invitation for the first lightweight event in Brussels, which will take place on May 4th, 2023 from 10:00 to 16:00 in cooperation with the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the EU.

The venue is:

The motto of the event, which will consist of short presentations, two panel discussions and an accompanying exhibition, is: No European Green Deal without Lightweight Technology.
