ReSComp Engineering, a pioneering spin-off focused on improving the reliability and safety of advanced mechanical components and structures, is proud to announce its establishment. Built on over two decades of groundbreaking research led by the CU member Composite Group of the University of Padova under the guidance of Professor Marino Quaresimin, ReSComp Engineering emerges as a game-changer in the composites sector.
Innovative Solutions for Structural Reliability
ReSComp Engineering is committed to addressing industry challenges by offering two cutting-edge tools:
- Advanced Design Software Suite
This software suite enables the advanced design and optimization of components made from polymer matrix composites. The tools leverage innovative algorithms to model and predict the long-term mechanical behavior of structural parts under real-world conditions. Highlights include:
- Enhanced in-service safety for high-performance composite parts.
Streamlined implementation of periodic maintenance plans.
A Beta version of the flagship product, Fatigue Life Analysis (FLA), is currently in validation, backed by a pending patent.

2. Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) System
A cost-effective and highly efficient methodology for real-time, continuous monitoring of composite component integrity. This patented system eliminates the need for external sensors or transducers, offering:
Robust, non-invasive, and energy-efficient solutions.
Prototypes validated at the industrial scale.
By integrating these tools, ReSComp Engineering delivers a unified strategy to optimize composite component performance during design and ensure real-time monitoring in service. This approach boosts safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, while significantly reducing environmental impact.
Target Markets
ReSComp Engineering serves diverse industries where composite reliability is critical, including automotive, aerospace, urban air mobility, wind energy, hydrogen storage tanks, industrial automation, and sporting goods, positioning itself as a leader in advancing safety and efficiency in these sectors.
