The Cluster CU West wants to contribute decisively to the strengthening and bundling of regional competences in the field of high-performance fibre composite technology. As part of the planned activities of CU West, the working group (AG) “Thermoplastics – from material to automated production” was established, into which the thermoplastic competence of IVW GmbH, which has been developed over more than 20 years, together with the material knowhow of BASF will be incorporated.

As the National Thematic Network (NTN) and the Swiss regional cluster of Composites United e.V. (CU), the networking of those involved in the high-performance fibre composites sector in Switzerland is our prime concern. We want to bring about this networking through events such as the members’ meeting, working group meetings, themed days, presence at trade fairs and conferences as well as active exchanges between members, general management and the Management Board.

Composites United Switzerland and our members organise a variety of events on the subject of high-performance fibre composites and attend relevant trade fairs and conferences. The current events in Switzerland are included in our calendar.

    Training and advanced training

Some of our members offer advanced training events in the area of high-performance fibre composites. These are included in the training programme of Composites United e.V. (CU) and also in our calendar. In future, Composites United Switzerland is planning to take on an active role with relevant partners for the training and advanced training of professional people and engineers, in order to significantly improve the offer in these areas in Switzerland.

As the National Thematic Network of the Swiss Innovation Agency Innosuisse, Composites United Switzerland is the ideal platform for implementing your project ideas in collaborative ventures such as Innosuisse projects or EU projects. If you have project or product ideas in the area of high-performance fibre composites and are searching for suitable partners from industry, universities or research institutes do not hesitate to contact our office. We will help you find the appropriate project partner for you from our members.
