Contact details

The Cluster CU Nord of Composites United e.V. is made up of the North German members of the former CFK Valley e.V. and Carbon Composites e.V. and is managed from Stade. CFK Valley e.V. was founded there in 2004, largely through the initiative of the Airbus Group based in the town. It then developed into an international network and merged with Carbon Composites e.V. to form Composites United e.V. in 2019. Stade is an important industrial and service location in the Hamburg metropolitan region, which with more than 5 million inhabitants is one of the most powerful and dynamic economic areas in Europe.

KNMP – Competence Center New Materials & Production New materials and processes open up new perspectives Traditional materials can be replaced and thus structures and properties can be completely rethought. Carbon is lighter than steel and aluminium, does not corrode, has high strength, hardly expands when heated and is easy to form. Together with you, we test the potential of new materials right up to the prototype that is to provide the proof. This service is free of charge for you. The aim is to use new materials or even new production processes.

As the National Thematic Network (NTN) and the Swiss regional cluster of Composites United e.V. (CU), the networking of those involved in the high-performance fibre composites sector in Switzerland is our prime concern. We want to bring about this networking through events such as the members’ meeting, working group meetings, themed days, presence at trade fairs and conferences as well as active exchanges between members, general management and the Management Board.

Carbon Composites Schweiz and our members organise a variety of events on the subject of high-performance fibre composites and attend relevant trade fairs and conferences. The current events in Switzerland are included in our calendar.

Training and advanced training

Some of our members offer advanced training events in the area of high-performance fibre composites. These are included in the training programme of Composites United e.V. (CU) and also in our calendar. In future, Carbon Composites Schweiz is planning to take on an active role with relevant partners for the training and advanced training of professional people and engineers, in order to significantly improve the offer in these areas in Switzerland.

As the National Thematic Network of the Swiss Innovation Agency Innosuisse, Carbon Composites Schweiz is the ideal platform for implementing your project ideas in collaborative ventures such as Innosuisse projects or EU projects. If you have project or product ideas in the area of high-performance fibre composites and are searching for suitable partners from industry, universities or research institutes do not hesitate to contact our office. We will help you find the appropriate project partner for you from our members.
