Thread impressions, precisely fitting precision bores or integrated connecting elements – the aCC process (Automated Composite Compression Process) developed by Nägeli offers an alternative manufacturing process for many lightweight components. In this process, fibre chips are pressed into complex 3D moulded parts with almost any desired geometry. The high reproducibility allows series production of several 10,000 components per year. The process runs without material waste, and the manufactured parts can be completely recycled.
Nägeli developed the process some time ago together with partners, including our member Cross Composites. Experience now confirms that aCC technology opens up a wide range of new possibilities, especially for moving parts.
