The Augsburg Innovation Park with the Augsburg Technology Center (TZA) is an economic development measure of the city of Augsburg and the district of Augsburg, which is supported by the Free State of Bavaria and other institutions. Over €500 million in investment measures have already been deployed.
The aim is to support innovation and technology transfer for companies in the fields of aerospace, lightweight construction, fiber composites, mechatronics & automation, digitalization, the environment and now also hydrogen technology. Due to this technical orientation, we are also happy to be the location for the office and a member of Composites United e.V. and thus benefit from an excellent network.
Research institutes, technology companies and the Augsburg Technology Center are located in the park on a 70ha site next to Augsburg University. The 12,000 m² TZA is a multifunctional building with a hall, laboratory, technical center, office and event areas that can be used as usable space with a service package for companies, startups, development projects and specialist events.
Currently, more than 50 users with about 1300 employees are already active in the Innovation Park and the 15 company-related research institutions (DLR, Fraunhofer, RWTH, ITA…).
The Augsburg Innovation Park with the Augsburg Technology Center links different industries such as lightweight construction & fiber composites, mechatronics & automation, Industry 4.0, IT, digitalization or even environmental technology and is both host and initiator for new projects.
