Ensinger: Continuous fibre reinforced thermoplastic sheets for industry

Ensinger has added three new materials to its range of composite panels. Endless fibre-reinforced sheets made of thermoplastics are an alternative for applications in which unreinforced or short-fibre reinforced semi-finished plastic products reach their limits due to the high requirements. Due to the reinforcing continuous fibres, mostly fabrics made of glass fibres or carbon fibres, they have mechanical properties that are otherwise only achieved by metallic materials. At the same time they are significantly lighter than most metal-based alternatives.
