Composites United e.V. informs:

The State Secretary in the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, Roland Weigert will lead a delegation trip to the Slovak Republic from Wednesday, May 18 to Friday, May 20, 2022. The destination will be Bratislava and Trenčín, the country’s second largest economic region. The thematic focus will be on “Automation, Industry 4.0 and IT services.”

The offer of the delegation trip is primarily aimed at managing directors of Bavarian companies in the fields of “Automation, Smart Factory”.

There is a wide range of opportunities for Bavarian companies in Slovakia. The focus is not only on medium-sized businesses, but also on strategic issues for large companies and, thanks to the geographical proximity, on (project-) business for smaller companies. Numerous global players and hidden champions from Bavaria have been active in Slovakia for many years. Thanks to extensive EU funding, Slovakia is becoming greener, more innovative and more digital.

In Slovakia’s key industries, the signs are pointing to investment. In the automotive industry, the Volkswagen Group and suppliers want to invest one billion euros in expanding their plants by 2025. More than one billion will also be invested in metal production. In the mechanical and plant engineering sector, which has come through the pandemic particularly well, various investment projects worth millions are also on the agenda.

The aim of the trip is to contribute to the further deepening of economic relations through talks with political decision-makers and business representatives.
