Germany must be capable of defending itself – this realization is ever-present against the backdrop of international developments. Accordingly, policymakers have recognized the situation and are setting the course to modernize the Bundeswehr and make it more effective. Modern fiber-reinforced composite materials will play a key role in this process – thanks to their outstanding properties, they will help, among other things, to make the next generation of fighter jets faster and more agile, enable improved armor, protect military vehicles with radar shielding, and enhance the handling and efficiency of portable weapon systems.
This year, we cordially invite you to Airbus Defence & Space in Manching to showcase fiber-reinforced composite innovations for the defense industry and discuss potential applications. The focus here is on connecting decision-makers and key players from the German Armed Forces, the defense industry, and the composites sector to build bridges and initiate new collaborations.
Following this CU Innovation Day, the annual general meeting of Composites United e.V. will take place on the second day starting at 2:00 p.m.
During this event, we will offer presentations on both days, a networking evening on the first day, and, as highlights, various tours, including visits to:
