The “PhD Working Group of Ceramic Composites” emerged from the already existing group “Reinforcement of Ceramic Materials”, which is a joint event of Ceramic Composites and the Working Committee DKG/DGM “High Performance Ceramics” and was initiated by Prof. Dr. Dietmar Koch (Chairman of the Board Ceramic Composites).
Since the activities and topics of both groups are in part closely intertwined, the PhD working group (WG) always meets the day before and at the same venue as the working group “Reinforcement of Ceramic Materials”.
The Phd WG addresses all PhD students who are active in the field of Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC). It enables an interactive exchange across the boundaries of individual chairs, research institutions and companies. The platform thus offers the opportunity for open discussion and networking. In this way, doctoral students gain an insight into the work of other institutions. All young scientists who are aiming for a PhD in the field of CMC are invited.
This working group is jointly organized by the CU network Ceramic Composites and the University of Augsburg and is chaired by Tobias Schneider as successor of Linda Klopsch.
Have fun exchanging ideas and networking!
