The working group forms a platform for knowledge exchange and networking from raw material and fibre production to end users of fibre-reinforced components. The focus is on the interaction of the matrix with the textile fibre architecture.
The main areas of work of the WG are:
- Duromer polymer systems
- Elastomeric polymer systems
- Thermoplastic polymer systems
- Concretes
- New Process Adapted Polymers
Lectures and discussions are held regularly to present and discuss existing and new matrix systems. As a rule, the WG meetings are held together with the WG “Fiber Matrix Adhesion”. Topics from the sub-working group “New Process Adapted Polymers” are also addressed as required.
