The SME working group is a body that specifically represents the interests of SMEs. The topics of the working group are defined by the participating SMEs themselves. The Composites United offices provide support in preparing and developing the desired content.
The topic “Life Cycle Assessment and Sustainability” has been defined for the 1st quarter of 2022. It can be assumed that in the medium future it will become increasingly difficult to bring (new) materials into circulation without sound proof of their ecological footprint. Furthermore, coherent recycling and recovery concepts are already in demand from Tier1 or OEM. Large companies are setting up their own departments dedicated to this issue. SMEs face an additional hurdle here.
These and other challenges are to be worked out together with the office in order to jointly remove existing hurdles and find solutions.
