Our topic for the working group meeting on July 15, 2022 is: „Coating and preparation for coating of CMC“

Coating of CMC is important for many applications. In gas turbine components EBC coatings are required to protect the CMC structure. In CMC brake disks the friction surface is “coated” today by a monolithic SiSiC layer to avoid erosion. Goal of the seminar is to identify research needs in this field and to discuss possible steps forward.
