The Engineering Industry Day will bring academia and industry together to give PhD students, researchers, professors and companies the chance to meet and discover new opportunities and synergies.
The program will feature roundtable discussions and plenary presentations from both academia and industry, with topics corresponding to the School of Engineering’s four research themes:
– Materials and Processes
– Robotics and Manufacturing
– Data-Enabled Engineering
A series of booths will exhibit current research projects from the School of Engineering and EPFL research centers.
The event will include one-on-one meetings and other networking opportunities for researchers and members of industry. Companies will discover firsthand the latest innovations coming out of EPFL labs and meet the researchers behind them, while pitching their ideas and challenges to potential new collaborators. Researchers will have the opportunity to present their work, foster industry partnerships, and identify professional avenues for their students. For their part, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers will have the chance to discover corporate R&D, get insights from the forefront of industry and make connections for their future careers. All participants will benefit from this unique convergence of research, innovation, technology transfer, and society.
The full program and registration will be published soon!
