On March 1, 2022, the Executive Committee of our cluster CU Ost cluster met for a board meeting at an altitude of about 1000 m in Gehlberg, Thuringia. The exchange of the honorary committee finally took place physically again for a long time, which was highly appreciated by all participants. Present were Prof. Jens Ridzewski (IMA Dresden), Dr. Dirk B\u00fcchler (BaltiCo GmbH), Dr. Thomas Ebert (Sch\u00f6nborner Armaturen GmbH), Dr. Robert Eder (IBT Thermoprozesstechnik GmbH), Dr. Steffen Kress (Cotesa GmbH), Klaus-Peter Schmuhl (Schmuhl Faserverbundtechnik GmbH & Co. KG) and Sammy Techritz (Leichtbau-Systemtechnologien KORROPOL GmbH).<\/p>\n

The agenda included the status report on the operational work of the association by Cluster Managing Director Dr. Thomas Heber and the strategic further development of CU Ost.<\/p>\n

In order to maintain a strong voice for Thuringia in this committee in the future, Markus Schmuhl – Managing Director of Schmuhl Faserverbundtechnik GmbH & Co. KG – was unanimously co-opted to the CU Ost Executive Committee. The previous Thuringian board member Klaus-Peter Schmuhl would like to focus on other tasks in the future and will therefore not stand for election at the next CU Ost general meeting on March 18, 2022.<\/p>\n
