This class of materials is characterized by a laminate structure consisting of alternating layers of long-fiber-reinforced polymers and metal. In particular, the focus is on optimizing the manufacturing process, setting up an FE analysis to determine the failure modes, and experimentally investigating the mechanical behavior with respect to the complexity of a shock wave loading. As a sample material, the design of an aluminum-S2-glass laminate, also known under the brand name GLARE, is investigated.<\/p>\n<p>Within the scope of this project, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unibw.de\/leichtbau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun BCX0 SCXO232893838\">Universit\u00e4t der Bundeswehr M\u00fcnchen, Institute\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"SpellingError BCX0 SCXO232893838\">for<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun BCX0 SCXO232893838\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun BCX0 SCXO232893838\">Lightweight<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun BCX0 SCXO232893838\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"SpellingError BCX0 SCXO232893838\">Structures<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is looking for a project partner with the experience in manufacturing GLARE.
