(FHNW)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Inserts are special threaded inserts used to attach instruments, power units and sensors to a satellite&#8217;s support structure. An average communications satellite has 5,000 to 10,000 inserts, which until now have only been installed manually.
