Member Swiss CMT cooperates in the Eurostars research project “MarineCare – Sustainable composites from recycled carbon fibres and bio-based powder resin for maritime applications” with the Leibniz Institute for Composite Materials GmbH and GREENBOATS\u00ae Sustainable Composites to improve sustainability in the maritime sector. The aim of the project is to develop a composite material in sandwich construction and an associated waste-minimising manufacturing process. The sandwich structure combines a foam core made of recycled PET, with cover layers made of recycled carbon fibres (rCF) and a thermoset, bio-based epoxy resin. Swiss CMT is responsible for the development of the epoxy resin powder<\/p>\n
