{"id":21868,"date":"2022-05-23T14:06:41","date_gmt":"2022-05-23T12:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/composites-united.com\/gruppen\/ag-hybride-cmc\/"},"modified":"2024-01-16T12:41:05","modified_gmt":"2024-01-16T11:41:05","slug":"ag-hybride-cmc","status":"publish","type":"gruppen","link":"https:\/\/composites-united.com\/en\/groups\/ag-hybride-cmc\/","title":{"rendered":"WG Hybrid CMC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Due to their special property profile in terms of corrosion and high-temperature stability as well as their lightweight design potential, ceramic matrix composites (CMC) can make an important contribution to the current challenges in many industrial sectors, such as energy generation or the transport transition. However, hybrid materials with CMC have not yet received much attention. Yet it should be possible to overcome disadvantageous properties of CMC by hybrid structures and thus open up new fields of application.<\/p>\n<p>The Hybrid CMC working group provides a platform for an intensive exchange of information on the state of the art for these materials and also for the derivation of collaborative research projects. The following focal points are taken into account:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>new property profiles through combination of different materials<\/li>\n<li>technology development for the manufacture of hybrid structures (additive manufacturing)<\/li>\n<li>joining technologies<\/li>\n<li>raw material and energy aspects<\/li>\n<li>costs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Regular working group meetings promote and support the exchange of experience and the definition of problems for possible development projects. During these meetings, presentations are given and discussed on various topics related to the above-mentioned fields of knowledge.
